Axians, the ICT brand of VINCI Energies, is expanding its presence in Kosovo. With the groundbreaking ceremony for its new flagship office, the “Axians Campus”, in Pristina, the ICT service provider is preparing for further growth with its team. Following the opening of its own training center in Gjakova, Axians is now investing in its own premises near the Kosovan capital. The ceremony was attended by Burim Mirakaj, CEO of VINCI Energies DACH & CEE ICT, by Rozeta Hajdari, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, and further high-ranking diplomatic representatives: Jörn Rohde, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kosovo and Olivier Guérot, Ambassador of the French Republic to Kosovo. Axians has been in close contact with both representatives for some time regarding its strategy and its continuous investments in Kosovo.
Since its founding in 2021, the Axians Kosovo team has grown significantly. Approximately 100 employees carry out software development projects and provide services for modern telecommunications and building infrastructures. And demand for joint projects from Axians’ core markets in Germany and other countries continues to rise. Axians is also investing in Kosovo’s youth through its own specialist training and on-the-job training programs. Axians has already built its own office for the infrastructure business at the training center in Gjakova, Kosovo in 2024 and invested into a facility for preliminary training for technicians, 3D digital twins of infrastructure projects and building design.
The current groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction of Axians’ own flagship office in Pristina with the first cut of the spade. The “Axians Campus” with the size of 2200 m2 will offer state-of-the-art facilities on Axians’ own premises for digital transformation. It will provide a home for even more IT talent from Kosovo, who will be able to work on software development, process, and AI solutions under the best conditions. Approximately 15 minutes from the center of Pristina, near the up-and-coming Marigona Residence neighborhood, Axians will offer its employees an attractive new working environment.
Burim Mirakaj: “By starting construction on our own Axians Campus in Pristina, we are underlining again our claim to be the leading international ICT service provider in Kosovo. We are making another long-term investment here following our own Axians training center in Gjakova. Our Axians Campus will provide an attractive working environment for Kosovo’s digital talents, offering them future-proof jobs in the digital sector.”
Rozeta Hajdari: “The expansion of Axians in Kosova – the Information and Communication Technology brand of VINCI Energies, through its new Campus in Pristina, is offering the opportunity to untap the huge potential of the talent and creativity of our youth, exporting their professional services to the European market. Grateful for the dedicated engagement through Mr. Burim Mirakaj, CEO VINCI Energies DACH & CEE ICT. Kosova offers a favorable business environment with the strongest improvement in the areas of investment policy and promotion, while positioning itself as a regional leader in trade policy (OECD Competitiveness Outlook Report 2024).”
Jörn Rohde: “I am delighted to have been present at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Axians Campus. We are already seeing excellent results in international projects carried out by Axians Kosovo together with its sister companies in Germany. The resulting added value and close ties between the German and Kosovar digital economies are very much in our interest.”
Olivier Guérot: “We greatly value our trusting cooperation with Axians, in particular through our joint scholarship scheme for promising students from Kosovo. I am confident that the new campus will make a lasting positive contribution to attractive IT jobs in Kosovo. We look forward to continuing this journey in dialogue with Axians, part of the French group VINCI.
