Axians recently welcomed 10 new trainees to the TI Training Centre in Gjakova. The aspiring professionals will spend the next nine months intensively preparing for their vocational training in Germany, with a special focus on broadband expansion as well as planning and construction for the mobile telecommunications sector.
Comprehensive preparation for the professional future
The comprehensive pre-training program not only teaches technical expertise, but also places great emphasis on essential soft skills that are necessary for a successful entry into professional life. German courses and training on the corporate culture values of VINCI Energies are also an integral part of the program. The aim is to optimally prepare the participants for their work in the German team and in the Axians network.
Safety Culture as top priority
A particular highlight of the Welcome Day was the tour of the modern training rooms, including the innovative “Safety Dojo”. The “Safety Dojo” promotes a safety culture and raises awareness of occupational health and safety. Practical exercises are carried out in a controlled environment at stations that are supported by boards and flexibly expandable slides. At various stations, the trainees were able to experience important occupational safety topics in a practical way. These included first aid and fire protection, the correct use of personal protective equipment, construction site safety and professional cable laying and assembly.

A seamless transition into the professional world
The training preparation programme enables participants to make a seamless transition into working with our German TI divisions and into the Axians network. After successful completion, there is the possibility of a long-term professional perspective in the Group – with the clear aim of providing targeted support to our teams in Germany and strengthening them where necessary.
